Hello, let me introduce you to my courses and workshops. Registration for traditional group weekend courses and workshops is always open a month before the course date. You will find several options available, with new themes and types of courses being added over time. Currently, you can choose from three themes - woodcarving (course), jewelry, and objects (workshops). Keep reading to learn more...
Workshops and courses take place in our studio on Račianska Street - Bratislava, Nové mesto.

How to sign up?
You can find course items for individual dates on my e-shop, available a month before the date. Choose the one that suits you best, add it to your cart, and pay by card or bank transfer. Please note that with bank transfer payment, your reservation is only valid once the payment has been received in my account. A few days before the course, you will receive an email with information and instructions (map, etc.).
The course is transferable, so you can purchase it as a gift for someone else. However, it is necessary for this person to receive all the important information, and you should also provide their contact information in the order note.
How to use a gift certificate for a course or workshop?
To validate a gift certificate, simply follow the current open dates (all dates available for registration are listed as items on the e-shop, and I regularly inform about them on my social networks). Choose one of the course dates and include it in your email along with your name and the code listed on the certificate. Since dates fill up quickly, it's best not to hesitate too long. It's always ideal to check their availability in advance, but generally, if you see a particular item available on the e-shop, we still have at least one spot left :)
How to buy a workshop or course as a gift?
You can also gift workshops and courses to someone else. However, it is necessary for this person to receive all the important information from you, and you should also provide their contact information in the order note. You can choose from currently available dates or purchase a gift certificate. If you're interested in a gift certificate, please contact me in advance via email or phone. Each gift certificate is issued to a specific person and has an assigned code, which is then used when redeeming it.
Cancellation policy
You can cancel your participation in the workshop up to 10 days before the date, and the full amount will be refunded. In case of cancellation 9-5 days before the date, you will receive 50% of the fee back. The refund will be issued in the same manner as the payment was made, either directly to the account from which the payment was made or as a refund payment through the payment gateway. If you cancel your participation 4 or fewer days before the workshop or course, the fee will not be refunded. It is possible to find a substitute for yourself, but their contact information must be provided ahead via email so they can be contacted and informed about all the instructions.
Dates and times are fixed and cannot be individually changed.
The prices includes materials, tool rental, my guidance, and your creations.
The maximum number of participants is 5 people. All classes are lead by an english speaking designer & maker. Please note that our classes are not suitable for children, even when accompanied by a parent.
What is the difference between a course and a workshop?
Courses focus on a specific technique, which is explored in depth over 8 hours, divided into two afternoons. Participants work on the same type of product, each receiving the same basic pre-cut parts, which they shape into a final product they can creatively interpret in their own way. Currently, the woodcarving course is available.
Workshops are a shorter form of creative afternoon (4 hours) focused on a specific theme, where participants go through various techniques. Design is entirely up to you, and the number of products is unlimited (within the time frame, of course :)). Currently, the workshop on making hanging decorations from wood and brass and the workshop on making personalized jewelry from brass, or wood in combination with brass, are available.
Now let's talk more about specific types of courses and workshops.
Weekend Woodcarving Course
This course is designed for complete beginners, with no prior skills or experience in working with wood required. During the course, you will learn all the basic skills of woodcarving. Course is guided by me, Mya :). I have been practicing woodcarving for about 8 years, and I'm excited to introduce this beautiful craft through my courses.
The course is suitable for absolute beginners; if you've never held a chisel before, that's completely fine. Throughout the course, you will acquire all the fundamental skills of woodcarving.
During the course, we will focus on creating a hand-carved vase. The course program is designed to provide you with sufficient skills to continue experimenting on your own after its completion. We will explain all the basic techniques and procedures, discuss different types of chisels, and talk about the ideal wood for carving. Not to mention, by the end of the course, you'll have a beautiful result of your own handcrafted work.
Course fee: €120
Workshop on Personalized Jewelry Making with Brass and Wood
Under my guidance, you will create personalized brass, wooden, or combined jewelry pieces. This workshop is designed for absolute beginners, without any prior skills. I will assist you throughout the creation process, where you'll get to try simple techniques such as cutting metal into desired shapes, hammering, bending, punching patterns or lettering, and possibly modifying wooden parts and joining them with brass. We only work with brass and wood in this workshop; other metals are not used. We do not solder; only cold connections are used for joining. It's not possible to bring old jewelry for remodeling!! The final number of products is unlimited.

Workshop on Making Interior Hanging Decorations
Design your own hanging interior object called a mobile. A mobile is a type of kinetic sculpture that utilizes the principles of balance. It consists of multiple components that balance each other. The set of balanced parts hangs freely in space and can rotate around its axis or remain static.
This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners, with no prior skills required. I will assist you throughout the creation process, where you'll get to try simple techniques such as cutting plywood into desired shapes, bending brass rods, drilling, modifying wooden parts, joining them with brass, and assembling the object to ensure its parts are perfectly balanced.
You can make multiple objects during the workshop.

Private Woodcarving Course
The woodcarving course can also be taken individually. You can choose this option if none of the available dates suit you, or if you'd like to focus more intensively on the technique. The advantage of this type of course is that the dates and hours are arranged individually. The course lasts for 8 hours and can be divided into two (2x4h) or three (2x2.5h + 1x3h) days, which do not have to be consecutive but can be, for example, a week later. It is also possible to choose the type of product you want to work on by agreement. For complete beginners, it is advisable to stick to simple shapes such as a low wide vase (the same one we make in the group course), or a larger shallow bowl, or a combination of a small bowl plus a spoon.
For those who have already completed my beginner course and would like to further enhance their skills, the private course is also suitable. In this way, we can create truly original pieces specific to each of you. This means that the piece you create will be entirely yours. It could be a small sculpture, a vase, or any other wooden object. We have certain limitations, but we'll go through everything individually. If you have trouble coming up with your own design, I'll be happy to provide inspiration within the possibilities of what we can accomplish in the given time.

Private Group Workshop or Mini Team Building
You can take advantage of the option of a private group workshop if you're looking for a creative group activity suitable for occasions such as birthdays, team building, or bachelorette parties. We can tailor the workshop to the craft we specialize in, and you can also draw inspiration from the themes of workshops and courses currently available.
The custom workshop includes guidance from an experienced instructor, tool rental, and materials for production. If you'd like something extra, feel free to ask, and we'll do our best to accommodate your request - such as workshop photos, specific decorations, etc.
The price of a private workshop is individual and depends on the size of the group, the duration of the workshop, and any other requirements.
